Importation of Semen to the Republic of Ireland
Due to the rising interest in the importation of canine frozen/chilled semen to the Republic of Ireland, please read carefully the import instructions, imposed by the Department of Agriculture, that should be adhered to by yourself and your exporting vet.
For you as a breeder the procedure usually starts with the lucky finding of the sire overseas that you want to use. If the semen has been already preserved and is stored somewhere, it has be checked againt the requirements to clarify if it is clear for the importation or a new collection is required.
